Unarmed Security

American Patrol Division, LLC offers professional unarmed security services for clients who need a visible, approachable and dependable security presence without an armed post. Unarmed officers can be a strong fit for office buildings, apartment communities, retail properties, warehouses, schools, medical facilities, construction sites, places of worship, special events and other locations where observation, access control and customer interaction are important. Duties can be customized to the property and may include monitoring entrances and exits, checking visitor access, conducting interior and exterior foot patrols, observing parking areas, identifying safety concerns, documenting incidents and notifying management or emergency services when appropriate. Officers can also assist with enforcing site rules, watching restricted areas, checking doors and gates, monitoring common areas and helping provide a professional point of contact after business hours. We emphasize alertness, courtesy, clear communication and accurate reporting. Before service begins, we can review the site with the client and develop post orders that explain patrol routes, priority areas, contact procedures and reporting expectations. Coverage can be arranged for daytime, evening, overnight or extended schedules based on availability and contract needs. Our objective is to provide a consistent security presence that supports your employees, residents, customers, visitors and property while fitting the environment and operating style of your organization.

Armed Security

For locations that require a higher level of visible deterrence, American Patrol Division, LLC can provide armed security services where permitted by law, client policy and the requirements of the assignment. Armed coverage may be appropriate for properties with elevated security concerns, valuable assets, overnight operations, controlled access points, sensitive facilities or environments where the client determines that an armed presence is necessary. Our service can be structured around fixed security posts, entrance monitoring, interior and exterior patrols, parking areas, perimeter checks and other responsibilities identified during the site assessment. Armed officers are expected to maintain a calm and professional presence, follow written post orders, observe and report suspicious activity, communicate with management and request law-enforcement or emergency assistance when circumstances require it. The role of security is prevention, deterrence, observation, reporting and responsible response within the officer’s authority and the client’s procedures. Before deployment, we work with the client to understand the property layout, operating hours, restricted areas, emergency contacts and special concerns so that the coverage is appropriate to the site. Scheduling may include day, evening, overnight or continuous service. We can also combine armed fixed-post coverage with mobile patrols when a large property or multiple buildings require broader visibility. Final staffing and duties are determined after reviewing the location and service expectations.

Mobile Patrol — Armed & Unarmed Options

Mobile patrol service is a flexible option for clients who want a visible security presence across a larger property, several buildings, parking areas or multiple nearby locations. American Patrol Division, LLC can provide mobile patrol coverage using armed or unarmed security personnel depending on the client’s requirements, site policy and applicable rules. Patrols may be scheduled at specific times or arranged as recurring checks during evenings and overnight hours. Typical duties can include driving through parking lots, checking building exteriors, observing entrances and exits, inspecting gates, verifying that designated doors are secure, watching for trespassing or suspicious activity, checking lighting and other visible safety concerns and documenting each patrol. Mobile patrol is especially useful for apartment communities, shopping centers, warehouses, construction locations, office parks, industrial properties and facilities with wide outdoor areas. Where appropriate, a patrol vehicle can increase visibility and allow an officer to move efficiently between priority locations. Mobile service can also support fixed-post officers by providing additional perimeter checks or coverage across separate buildings. Patrol frequency, hours, routes and reporting requirements are established with the client before service begins. After reviewing the property, we can recommend whether armed or unarmed patrol is the better fit and whether a dedicated patrol vehicle or scheduled mobile visits provide the most practical and cost-effective coverage.

Fire Watch Services

American Patrol Division, LLC can also provide fire watch personnel for businesses and properties that require temporary observation because of a fire alarm, sprinkler, suppression or other life-safety system being out of service, under repair or subject to a required watch. Fire watch assignments can be arranged for commercial buildings, apartment communities, warehouses, construction sites, offices, hospitality properties and other facilities, subject to the requirements of the property and local authority. Personnel can conduct scheduled rounds, observe designated areas for visible signs of smoke, fire or unsafe conditions, maintain patrol documentation and follow the emergency notification procedures provided by the client. The exact patrol frequency, documentation and responsibilities should be based on the property’s fire-safety plan and any instructions from the authority having jurisdiction. Our company can work with property management to establish clear post orders before the assignment begins. Fire watch service is intended to provide temporary monitoring and reporting; it does not replace required fire-protection systems, inspections or professional fire-safety services.
